Beate Amler was born in Heidelberg, Germany.
Her primary medium is acrylic. She has a distinctive style of
painting; at a glance precise and clear, however looking
deeper, her paintings are filled with emotion and passion.
Each viewer connects to the painting in a personal way by
discovering different images.
Beate graduated with a master’s degree in graphic design
from the College for Graphic Design in Mannheim, Germany.
She worked for 10 years in an advertising firm, where she
designed corporate pieces ranging from intricate technical
product brochures to colorful, large celebratory marketing
materials.
After moving to San Diego with her husband and children,
she realized her first passion was painting. She continued
her art education at La Jolla Community College Department
of Art honing her personal visual vocabulary and style.
Her family then moved to Princeton, New Jersey and
although by this time Beate had a fairly well developed style,
she sought additional training and camaraderie with fellow
artists at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and at
the Princeton Art School.
Now she lives and works in the San Fransisco Bay Area..
Her work has been exhibited at juried art shows in New Jersey,
Pennsylvania and California.
Private collectors own her paintings all over the US, Germany,
Canada and New Zealand.
